Here’s what this call is all about:
Horizon 2020 project for EU and Associated Countries (in this case India) invite small and medium companies, enterprises and startups to conduct Viability assessment of collaborative and INNOvative business solutions in WorldWIDE market called INNOWWIDE.
The 2nd INNOWWIDE call aims to bring innovative European SMEs to the forefront of international markets by funding Viability Assessment Projects (VAPs) in cooperation with local stakeholders in countries like India, creating the conditions to increase the uptake of innovative solutions in markets outside of Europe.
All together 4.2m EUR is available for this second call to fund 70 Viability Assessment Projects (VAPs).

Global Business Inroads (GBI) was successful in applying in the past and are currently implementing two INNOWWIDE projects from the 1st round in India in collaboration with 2 EU SMEs/Startups. They have the expertise to conduct viability assessments in India for highly innovative technology companies and provide insights into the market for the uptake of technology — market validation, help identify collaboration opportunities, provide techno-commercial and feasibility assessments for technology transfer and localization and develop ecosystems, connect with partners, customers, manufacturers for technology deployment.
EUROPE-INDIA Innovation Partnership Network was established when Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) of the European Commission launched an initiative with an aim to foster innovation cooperation between India and Europe. GBI is a part of the Service Facility for International Cooperation coordinating this project on behalf of the EU Commission.
This is a network of 150+ incubators/accelerators from Europe and India, the initiative focuses on creating partnerships that could act as multipliers to ultimately provide access and impact to a large number of startups in both geographies.
